That's a good point. I'm going proceed with my supplements as though I have Lyme, and go to the doctor tomorrow to make sure nothing else is wrong
always worth doing the basic conventional medical things to rule out the obvious things before assuming lyme.
the only thing i was going to add to at least be aware of is that 2 things you mention in your initial post are often associated with bartonella infection - namely, rage and unusual body odour.
rage or a disproportionate lack of tolerance and anger issues are very common with bartonella infections - can cause a person to blow up for little or no reason - or with unusual intensity - may also cause a person to ruminate over slights and misunderstandings - and may be associated with low mood or depression at other times.
unusual body odour - many people with chronic bartonella infections report odd, persistent and strong body odour. smells are a highly individual perception - so people report it differently - but very smelly armpits is typical - often being described as ammonia like - or like cat pee - often coming back almost immediately after bathing.
these signs are obviously far from conclusive - but worth being aware of in the context of lyme disease and arthropod borne infection exposure.
the other sign that is sometimes ( not always present - maybe in 20%-40% of cases) is a stretch mark like skin lesion or rash
these are typically jagged straight-ish lines - like stretch-marks - but are initially red or purple and usually gradually fade over time - but shapes vary and any unexplained linear marks on skin are indicative / suspicious.
these can be anywhere - but most typical places are
-small of or mid back ( especially in males )
-thighs, flanks, armpit, lower abdomen
other symptoms typically associated with bartonella are -
-disorders involving immune reactivity - food intolerances, MCAS, allergy, autoimmunity etc
-gut symptoms - ibs, bloating, churning etc
-general muscular skeletal or rheumatic issues - typically not overt - but involving ongoing pain and discomfort
-vascular or microvascular dysfunction - may surface as arrhythmia, heart pain, POTS etc
i hope its of some help
