Dude- was “duck duck go” best for Internet searching?? (Think you had another one too?)

Was a couple years ago when you posted about that when I posted about Mozilla now becoming as bad as Google searches, leaving out many things.

You originally mentioned duck duck go, but then you also mentioned something else that was even lesser known I think?

There is also definitely a difference (huge!!!!) between searching on a PC versus a phone.

There’s a few young people I know who do not own any PCs and use their phone for everything. They keep on telling me they can’t find things that I find and this is why.!

My phone leaves out many things when online searching as it seems to Somehow be “Programed” for retail sales and nothing else.

DuckDuckGo is mostly Bing behind the scenes. Most alternative search engines are just Bing or Google.

Some real alternatives:
Try https://www.perplexity.ai if you want to research something.
Brave has their own index. Brave Search
https://kagi.com is the odd one, you have to pay. So full privacy. Kagi

If you suspect some search results are being suppressed you can try these two:
Yandex (Russian)
Baidu (Chinese)
They of course have different biases than the Western ones.
