Amphotericin B biofilm buster?

This month I started taking oral Amphotericin B again. It helps against yeast overgrowth. But I'm starting to suspect it also is a biofilm buster because I've been experiencing more Bartonella related pain. I didn't really find any studies confirming this but I thought it might be useful to share.

I never did take Anpho-B, but I have taken Nystatin and Fluconazole for years. I never had a verified yeast problem, but I had mold exposure and hypersensitivity to mold toxins. I also have bartonella. I learned over the years that bartonella and mold symptoms overlap extensively. Since mold and yeast are fungi, I would expect them to cause similar symptoms.

What type of bartonella pain are you experiencing?

Pressure in eyes, painful pressure in head and stabbing pain, teeth pain. More joint pain too.
A Lyme herx is different, except the joint pain. But join pain can also be die-off from yeast.

It all overlaps...

Hi Vimzor, thanks for letting us know. Some antifungals are pretty effective for bart, fluconazole being the best I have taken so far. Itraconazole is a good option, too, though that one doesn't penetrate well into the brain. Because of this, it doesn't surprise me at all that Amphotericin-B is hitting bart. I've also read that terbinafine, which is another antifungal, is effective against bart, too. I haven't tried it yet but it's in my to do list. Keep going.

Could it be yeast die-off?

I am impressed you got that prescribed. I had candida glabrata which is azole resistant and no one wanted to prescribe it to me.
