scared.. please help

I had an appt. with LLMD today and she said that my CD 57 test indicates that I have chronic lyme.. that I've had it for at least six months.. my number was a 40.. i know that's low.. .However, I didn't have any symptoms until August that ever bothered me so I thought I had contracted the lyme in the early summer..she said it must have been activated by stress or something..... I do see an improvement in the 2 months since treatment... Does anyone else have a similar story? I'm not one of those people that went from dr. to dr. trying to find a diagnosis.. I got one relatively quickly, so now this is really upsetting...

Hi hezzer926. It can be hard to pinpoint when an infection occurred. What is important is that you are improving on treatment. This shows you are on the right track.

Some doctors do not run the CD-57 test. According to Dr. Burrascano, the CD-57 number does not steadily increase during treatment but jumps once the infection is under control.

I would not worry about this. You are responding to treatment, so keep on keeping on!
