trd, Do you have any out-of-network coverage? I also have BCBS and they have been very good at paying claims quickly. So far they have covered 80% of all visits after meeting the deductible for out-of-network and I've received reimbursements sometimes as quickly as a week, never more than two weeks. They even covered a large portion of the Igenex lab cost after I submitted a claim, even though they originally told me on the phone they did not cover Igenex at all. They also recently approved a total of three months of IV Rocephin after I was told by many that BCBS would never cover more than 28 days. I realize BCBS coverage in each state is different but I was told that NY was once of the worst and I've been pretty lucky so far. If you have out-of-network you might be in luck also. I hope it works out for you.

Thanks sooooooooooooooooooooo much for everyone's help.  I had no idea what a diagnosis of possible lyme disease would mean.
