I'm new to Lyme, having just been diagnosed. Until I see an LLMD, I'm doing Salt/C and the Buhner Herb Protocol. Been on S/C for two weeks, just started with the herbs at the smallest possible dose on Thursday.
My two daughters and their families (2 toddlers - 8 people in all) came to visit from out of town yesterday, planning on leaving this afternoon. Not a great time for me, but one lives clear across the country and had the trip planned for some time, the other lives 4 hrs. away
The day was taxing as I always feel a bit under the weather, and had to prepare dinner. At dinner, I decided I wanted to add another round of the herbs and up the dosage, so I did. An hour later, our septic tank failed - never happened before. No one could use the toilet or shower any longer. DD1 packed up her family and went back home, thankfully, but the other stayed until she could go to her MIL's today.
Now keep in mind, with S/C you have to drink, drink, drink. So we were peeing in the yard. But, as with any increase in dosage, I herxed ALL NIGHT, feeling like I was dying. I was really frightened.
This morning, I needed water and a bath to detox. The neighbor said we could use his parents' home while they are away, so I went over to go to the bathroom. Went to flush - nothing, nada. The water had been turned off! So, I emptied the waste basket, went out into the rain and filled the basket with rain water gushing out of the gutter. Two basketfulls and the toilet flushed!
Later, hubby turned the water on and I got a bath and feel better. All babies are out of here and we have peace again. Septic isn't fixed yet, but at least I can get across the street.
At some point, you just have to laugh.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
Hope you all have a more peaceful day.
