Post 'em!

I'm on my second week of Doxy treatment (2 weeks to go) and am feeling progressively better, though some days I backslide.

There are so many sad stories on this site (with good reason). I can't imagine there aren't also some great success stories, though!

Anyone have any good stories to post? I could use the encouragement!

I would spend more time on the antibiotics. I went the dr the day I found the tick and had 3 weeks of doxy and it was not enough. I felt fine when the antibiotics were stopped. 2 months later, I could barely walk, could not write, could not use a pair of scissors, and could not lift my leg up off the bed when laying down. I was shocked how fast I went down hill. Spent the next two years on antibiotics and am finally feeling almost like my old self again. The first thing that really helped was a portable infrared sauna. Then I got a rebounder to stimulate my lymphatic system, and then I stopped the antibiotics and started the Zhang herbs and FINALLY am actually almost me again!

I think the success stories are doing something else. Sometimes they come back to post encouragement but most of the people on here daily are still struggling. Martha's Vinyard is cured. She went to Envita. That is the only person I know of. I am doing extremely well, but I am not cured. I had 9 months of abx and am now on a regimen of herbs which I take 4 times a day. I do not eat any sugar or red meat and never drank. My energy level is back and most of my symptoms have faded. Right now I just upped my dosage of herbs and I am herxing which is discouraging because I did not realize how many buggers were still in me. Today I rode two horses, mowed the yard, pulled weeds and went to town. When I was sickest I could not do anything at all.
I am much much better but I don't let my guard down as there are always little indications that the disease is still there even when I feel pretty normal. Often those things seem normal when they aren't. It seems normal for instance to have no memory, to get mirgrains, to have my shins hurt, to experience muscle spasms. I could dismiss it as age related, in fact most doctors would, but I know better now. So I have sadly come to accept that it may be a long time before I am well, if I ever am well.

I am feeling the best I have in 3+ years and so so afraid to go off antibiotics. I am just starting doxy after 5 months of amoxicillin. Exactly what herbs are you on and did you take them while on antibiotics or wait until you stopped. I hope to be back on here someday with a success story!!
