I have had a midline catheter in for about
two weeks. This morning when I flushed the line with saline before the meds a small amount of blood came out of the insertion site...it was a small amount but was just wondering if this is normal?

This is probably a good sign that your line is
open and clear. But, just in case, give your dr's offie a call.

Bleeding around the midline at the insertion site could be caused by doing some activity with your arm that breaks the body's seal around the midline at the insertion site. I wouldn't worry if it is just a small amount, but would probably be good to let your doctor know. Keep an eye on the site and if it bleeds more, you may need to go in and get it checked out.
Good luck,
