Low Platelet count or bottom of the range ? How many of you have this?

Have you had any blood tests which show your platelet count below normal or at the bottom of the range? Just wondering because although they are associated with your bloods ability to clot, I've read they also play a role in our immune system function.

Fatty acid deficiency has caused me to experience low platelet counts periodically. Yes, I've also heard platelets play a role in the immune system, but just don't remember what that role is...

I was kept for a few days in the hospital back in April for a high white blood count. I was feeling very weak and faint.
