I just received this from my on-line support group. Hubby & I gave up on regular t.v. while I was home for 1 yr by myself (2008), so I thought there was no way for us to be able to watch "mystery diagnosis" - but I just found how I can watch through my computer!
Discovery Health offers free podcasts to those who have itunes!!! They may offer free podcasts to others - I don't know.
; Subject: Babesia to be on TV Fri. & Sun.

Dear Friends,
The Discovery Health Channel has scheduled to air the program "Monsters Inside Me" this week-end. Their episode titled "Masters of Disguise" has an interesting segment about
babesia.
This episode is planned to be on this Friday, October 16, at 9 p.m. Central time and on Sun., Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. Central time. Those who have trouble falling asleep Friday night
may want to watch their showing of it at 1:00 a.m. Central time Friday night (actually, 1 a.m. is considered Sat. morning).
The Discovery Health Channel sometimes changes their schedule at the last minute, so there is no guarantee that they will show the episode they have planned.
The program is about
parasites that infect humans. The first segment shows a worm that infects an eyeball. The babesia segment is
about
12 minutes long and is later in the program. Those interviewed in the program seem unaware that babesia is all over the country, from coast to coast, that it isn't always
a deer tick transmitting it, and that mice aren't the only carriers. Other than that, it is a good program.
The program first aired on the Animal Planet on July 22, 2009. This time it will be on the Discovery Health Channel.

Thanks Traveler. I saw this episode already. It was a great episode but it was said that the guy was "cured" of Babesia in a few weeks. Maybe it's true but watch the episode to see what I mean.

I saw it as well. Don't laugh, but I really can't remember it.
