It's playing in a few minutes on Discovery Health Channel. It's about a man that has Babesia. This is the one Traveler posted about. It's called, "Masters of Disguise."

Hey, I just watched that. It's always disturbing to me to be reminded of how bad babesia can get. Neither I nor any of the people I know who have been diagnosed with it are as sick as the man in the film was. And, as sick as he was, it was amazing that after seven weeks of treatment he recovered. Nobody I know has been cured that quickly. I need to re-watch the program to see what medication was administered; it wasn't something I have heard of. Do you know?

I said the exact same thing. Babesia is usually really hard to eradicate. Most people I have met that had it, did not have the high fevers. Imnot saying it's not possible though. Maybe he had a different strain.

I hope so. I have babesia and my symptoms are not like his at all. I have read that babesia, when it gets dangerous, involves high fevers. But I was surprised, with all of the exercise that guy did, that he would have gotten so sick. AND, I wonder if he was tested for Lyme and other co-infections.

We all thought the same thing about him possibly having Lyme. I had babesia symptoms at the beginning of the year and my first LLMD thought I had it. I run fevers every month but they are low grade, not high at all. Now, I have more Bartonerla symptoms than Babesia. It's crazy! My new LLMD is having me tested for babesia.
