HELP PAIN!

Have had Lyme and co infecs for 8 years. Tried lots of antibiotics including PICC. Was doing Bicillin injections got stomach flu stopped Bicillin for a while. Stomach never the same they think I have Chron's disease I know the Lyme has caused it. Anybody else have stomach trouble from Lyme? Last night took amoxicillin have not taken any antibiotics for 2-3 weeks. Had herx of something. HORRIBLE pain spasms my hands contorted soooooooooooooooooooooooo bad my mom wanted to take me to hospital. Starting again now can barley type. Dizzy hands weird hurting stiff like they are locking. all muscles in my body feel weird and weak and like they are spasming. HELP what is this? also very anxious. Is it her or symptoms just worsening. What can I take tried Lryica helped this morning/afternoon but now I am bad. I need suggestions of stuff to take or to tell my doc to give me. I have Ativan Tylenol with codene. I have had alot of symptoms over the years but this I can barley handle. I cant deal with this. Vision blurring. HELP ME PLEASE.

JIJI, I just finished a little over 2 months of 3500 mg Amox per day. At the onset, I felt like I was having a little herxing, nothing major -- some hot flashes w/in couple of hours of taking it. I never had reaction as severe as yours, but yes, over halfway into this treatment, I suffered major depression, suicidal thoughts that invaded my head, even tho I am not suicidal, and very painful anxiety, including muscle spasms and entire body stiffening -- felt like one, big, stiff, walking STICK. Increased pain (neck, back, pelvic bone) as well.

I have experienced some relief now after a week done w/ Amox. I don't know if this was a herx or side effects of Amox. We will know in time. I did find depression and anxiety listed amongst possible Amox side effects. I stuck it out because I believe in Amox.

JIJI -- I do recall some periods of time that my body stiffness and depression were so severe that I would skip a couple of doses here and there. Once, I skipped for 2 days, then got back on. (that's how 60 days Amox lasted over 2 mo).

I believe that you might want to skip a dose or 2 and see how you feel. If it's a herx, you can try to 'regroup' and tackle it again. If it's side effects, maybe you can make it thru if you skip a day or 2 now and then.

Definitely talk to your Dr about it, like I did not do.....

Just to add to the great info that has already been posted here. Klonopin has a longer half life than Ativan or xanex. Which means that it lasts longer in your system. It lasts about 12 hours for me which is excellent. I tell people this because I've been down the xanex and Ativan road when my panic attacks were really bad. These drugs only work for about 4-5 hours.

JIJI, if you are still herxing, then there has to be something still there. What antibiotics were you on before and what dosage were you given? Sometimes, when the dose is not high enough, it will just make the bacteria run and hide without killing them off. Once you are off of antibiotics, they come back out again.

Co-infections can also be a reason why you're not getting better.

When I was very sick with lyme or whatever co-infection pain was unbearable.  If your pan is this bad i would tell your doctor about the pain and I was given darvicot which eased the pain down if that makes sense.  I seriosly think firghting pain can interfere with the bofies fighting the disorder, good luck oh and I never got addicted haven;t had one in i dont know 1 year 2?
