has anyone been to Hansa in Kansas?
still would love to hear experience.

I spoke on the phone and they do NO antibiotic.

I see a lot of people using Dr J stuff to get thru detoxing from antibiotics
but has anyone done this whole experience without antibiotics.

You can get online at the Hansas Center website and ask questions through emails, or even phone calls.
I have called many times myself. Yes the 2 hour drive is nice, but I wouldnt advise you make that a daily drive
without another driver unless you will be staying in Wichita for your treatment. The phone number I have to look
up is in my old phone bills. Will take me awhile to get that since I share a phone plan with other family members
who get that bill.

There is a version of his protocol available that you can do yourself at home for much less cost than going to the clinic. You purchase the necessary products from the Hansa Center for the protocol. I've heard good things about Dr. J's protocol in that the herxing is minimal due to extensive detoxing involved. The book is excellant too.

I would go to the clinic myself if I could afford it and could travel.

I'm scheduled to start treatment this coming Monday. Will be glad to keep you all posted on my daily experiences there if I'm able to do it.

It's not cheap. It will cost a minimum of 5 thousand dollars if you go there and if you stay the who two weeks that they recommend it could go as high as ten thousand dollars with all of the treatments, supplements, herbs, etc. You can call the clinic and they will answer every question you have. There's a hotel right next door (walking distance) and they have special rates for the clinic's patients.

I have heard from people who did well on it and one who did not do well on it. It's a big risk for us. We cannot afford to do it, but on the other hand, if I keep going the direction I'm going I don't think I'm going to be around much longer. I'm a rock bottom and I'm hoping and praying that this will be my road to recovery.

For those of you who are praying people, your prayers would be greatly appreciated. For those who aren't, wish me luck.

Just read that you are going to Hansa Center and I will be praying for you. I know several people who went there (of course I won't mention their names and many are not members of this forum) and only 1 person I know didn't do that great, the rest did wonderful! Dr. Jernigan is truly a brilliant doctor and in my humble opinion, wiser than any other lyme literate doctor that I have heard of.



Remember, Dr. J. had chronic lyme himself and he thought he was going to die because he was that sick. So please think positive and you will be amazed by him as well as his staff.

Thank you so much for your post. It's really encouraged me and my wife. I'm not doing very well today. Sadly, I have a sinus infection on top of everything else. My ENT gave me Amoxy and some cortisone nasal spray. I hate taking them but he said my nasals were so very inflamed and needed immediate treatment. I hesitated about starting on it until yesterday when a person who has a medical background came on the other lyme forum and urged me to take the cortisone spray or the consequences could be very bad. After checking around it seemed that most felt that this is what I should do. I hate antibiotics and steroids. Apparently the cortisone spray doesn't get into the blood stream (according to the ENT) so it should be alright.

Anyway, it's been a hard morning for me emotionally, mentally and physically. My wife who is usually pretty positive and upbeat broke down today and is concerned for me too as she sees me deteriorating before her eyes. I've lost 75 pounds in six months and continue to lose 2-5 pounds a week. I hate to see my wife affected by my disease. She's been so strong and supportive for me and I would not have been able to get this far without her help.

Please pray for God's peace and strength upon us. The way I feel today I'm concerned I won't be well enough to drive to Wichita tomorrow. Thank you for giving us some encouragement. Your prayers mean a lot to us. Pray I can make it there tomorrow and that this is the path that God is leading us on to bring healing to my body.
