I went 5 years with bad ulcertive colitis before I dx with Lymes, Babesia and Chylamdia Phenomia (CP). I tried in those five years work with 5 different natural path (NP) doctors whom a couple said I had Chlymadia Phenomia bacteria and we treated with various herbal remedies, still have it today and now treating with Zithromax and Flagyl. I saw a total of 16 doctors before I was told I had Lyme's by my last NP.  I belong to the CP.org forum as well as this one. Does anyone else deal with Lyme's and other bacterias? I don't even know how my CP was detected. I had my testing done by Igenix ($1,000) two seperate tests done. Did this check for CP I wonder?

 What is the babesia and where did that come from?

Gosh I feel antibiotic to death right now. I take a intermuscular shot every week, and now were increasing it to every 6 days because by the 7th my symptoms have returned (bloody diarreah and urgency) zithromax on M, W, F and Flagyl every day.

Does everyone take this much medication? Oh I've herxed alright. Depression is a big one and no energy. I'm sure my yeast if off the hook, but I take the Oxy Aloe cleanse for this.

I was feeling so much better before I added Flagyl, why? Flagyl give me a headache and makes me tired. I hope this goes away.

I just need to know abx will help me. I feel a little better, but it's like the step backwards are greater than the ones going forward :(

Your doctor would have had to order the Chylamdia Phenomia test from Igenex for them to have checked for that. He would be able to tell you if he ordered it or not. I'm sure he did since you have a diagnosis of it.

Babesia comes from a tick when it bites you. Here is a description of Babesia:

Description, symptoms, and treatments of co-infections:

Babesiosis:- is a malaria-like protozoa illness that invades, infects, and kills the red blood cells. Symptoms include fatigue, night sweats, chills, fever, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, headache, dark urine, muscle pain, joint pain, nausea, and jaundice. Treatment is an anti-malarial combined with an antibiotic--often Mepron with Zithromax (or Biaxin or Ketek).

You are probably feeling worse because Flagyl busts open the cyst form of Lyme. You may want to try doing a detox bath. It will probably make you feel a whole lot better.
