I had this problem early on (before I was diagnosed).  It went away after I started oral antibiotics.  Now after nearly 2 years it is back.  In addition my stomach feels weird.  I seem to be digesting everything well but my stomach feel upset quite frequently.  I wondering if GERD is causing some of my stomach issues.   Any suggestions?

Suggestions:

Gallbladder problems can cause pain around the ribs. An ultra-sound can show stones, but a HIDA scan is needed to check for gallbladder function (which can be impaired in the absence of stones).

Digestive enzymes can sometimes reduce GERD symptoms.

DGL can also help with GERD.

Probiotics, if you aren't already taking them...yeast issues can cause various GI symptoms.

Medication side-effects can lead to stomach problems - ask your pharmacist.

Homeopathic Nux V. can help settle the stomach...I use it for heartburn/GERD/indigestion with good results.

My son has had sore ribs and also stomach problems throughout his 18 year ordeal.  I have been told recently, that sore ribs are probably caused by the co-infection "Babesa" and that the stomach issues are probably caused by Bartonella
