ROFL - DeeNuts - OHHHH!! The
fun I could have with that!!!!
"Normal" people usually won't even stand next to me for any length of time!!! After 10 years of marriage, hubby now agrees with a little saying I have said for most of my life - At least it's never boring around me!!
Willowrose,
As I said I don 't mind people asking questions - that's how we learn!
I do wish that I had a really good answer for you about
the burning nerve pain. I have to assume that the actual acupuncture, as well as the ginger, that is helping with that. And, unfortunately, as of yesterday, I have realized that I am heading back into my pain cycle. For me I have noticed that every 3 -5 months, I go through a relatively short (several weeks only) period where the pain I have really escalates. I assume it is because of the natural cycles that TBI's go through & the need to detox - which is what I am doing as soon as I finish this post!! I am a chicken

& don't want to have to face day after day of excruciating pain, so off to my regular gp I went to get some pain meds - fortunately, he is an understanding doc, who believes me!!
about
the ginger, I went to our local health food store & bought ground ginger root -per my acu docs instructions. She wanted me to take 1/2 tsp, heaped heavily, three times a day. Here is a pretty good explanation of some of the benefits of ingesting ground ginger root, although I'm not sure what dosage would be needed to achieve all of the actions written about
in this web page.
www.herballegacy.com/Young_Medicinal.htmlAs you will see in this article, ginger is good for sooo many things!! A few examples - reduces pain & inflammation, muscle spasms, improves digestion, increases circulation, and can help increase the effectiveness of ABX.
To take ginger internally, I tried to drink it as a tea, but I am waaaayy too much of a whimp to continue that!!!

So I use "00" size capsules (can be purchased at most any health food store) and literally pack the ginger, quite tightly, into the bottom half of the capsule, & put on the top of the capsule. 3 capsules, packed tightly, will render very close to 1/2 tsp of powdered ginger. I take 3 capsules, 3 times each day.
One more time, just to make sure there is no question - but not directed at any one person;
I am not medically trained, this is only a description of what I do, not a suggestion that anyone else should do this as well.
Although I do hope this helps someone!!!
