I have actually studied homeopathy myself, not in a formal setting, but took classes with my Mom when I was a teen. And I have continued to read and research certain homeopathic remedies since, in a search for answers to my own health issues. I've seen homeopathy do some remarkable things for myself and my family. I have also consulted homeopthic physicians at various times, the most successful of whom was a doctor in Philadelphia who saved my life when I was unable to eat due to severe nausea (probably from gastroparesis; I was age 14 at the time and regular doctors I saw were unable to diagnose me or help me get well). I believe this was my first major crisis from Lyme, but at the time I did not know of the existance of Lyme disease nor how severely it could affect the human body.

I have used homeopathic Oscillococcinum as prevention of flu (one capfull of pellets, taken once a week throughout flu season), and have had it be quite successful at aborting full-blown flu when a dose was taken immediately upon first inkling of symptoms (experienced while I was in College...I was travelling at the time and being sick was simply not an option; I was one of the few who avoided getting sick during the trip).

This is why I am eager to seek out homeopathy to help in my current situation with my health...and am very frustrated by the lack of competant homeopathic practitioners in the area where I live. Fortunately, my current Naturopath is a proponent of homeopathic medicine and he has willingly attempted to track down a source for obtaining an obscure remedy that seems to, from printed text description, fit my case well (the remedy is not made in the US, so must be imported).
