Lyme/Cushings

No but i wondered for a long time if I had cushings before being diagnosed with lyme. Do you have both?

I don't have Cushings but I have adrenal fatigue caused by the Lyme. We have just found out my husband also has Lyme (he has bad thyroid problems). The reason I am curious is because my dog has cushings and she was with us when we got infected 4 years ago and pretty much that is when her symptoms started. It took ages to get her diagnosed and we know it's not a tumor in her pituitary gland or adrenal glands that is causing it. She is on some pretty strong drugs to kill part of her adrenal glands to reduce the cortisol. I wonder if they can do a western blot on a dog. I know this might sound over the top to some people but she is one of my babies.

I see in wikipedia that Cushings is relatively common in dogs and horses. I linked this. Good Gosh, look at all the symptoms similar to Lyme, low thyroid, etc.

There is so much crap going on w/ Lyme, and so many symptoms overlap w/ others & other diseases, I don't know how iin the world we can figure out exactly what we have??
