Dr believes I caught Lyme from my husband

My husband had his first appointment today with the LLMD (we already knew he was positive for Lyme and co-infections) He has been having neuro problems for a few years and has been told previously that he was bi polar, manic depressive etc etc but it had always been like a irritable rage to me, the chronic fatigue did not set in until last year. I persuaded him to get tested once I finally knew what was wrong with me.

So it looks like from his IGG he has had this for years and years and it is chronic Lyme, nothing in his IGM though.

He also tested positive for Basesia/babesia fish/ehrichiosis and has had Bartonella (a few years ago he had terrible foot problems that just seemed to go away).

My husband can recall tick bites from his youth while spending the Summers in MO, Dr told us that he thinks I caught it from my husband when I first met him 10 years ago after I moved here from the UK as I do have some positive IGG bands but believes I got re infected when I got a tick bite 4 years ago as I have loads of IGM activity.

What an absolute nightmare this is, I just want to crawl into a corner and cry but I don't have enough energy to even do that :-(

My Mom died in 2004 from leukemia and I always call it LYME INDUCED LEUKEMIA because she was so sick for many years and was always on steroid pump inhailers and prednisone. and I think she cought it from my Dad whoo is still alive and completely out of his mind.

Your doctor sounds like a very knowledgeable LYME LITERATE . can you email me his name and where?

so does this mean you are onstantly getting reinfected ??

I know how long you been dealing with this and it must be like getting smacked over the head with a cast iron frying pan after coming to this country but to now find out about this being passed over from your husband ..wow, suzi.

I can't even imagine what goes thru you mind. Does someone get reinfected over and over? Are you actually in worse shape than your husband?

So many new questions. I know someone else must be in this position out there.
I really wonder how this transmission thing actually works.

Between sexual transmission and it being in the blood supply this is so out of control. and the government knows it.
