Diagnosis

I would appreciate some experienced feedback. I recently got my iGenex testing back and I was positive IGM but not IGG. An Infectious Disease expert who specializes in Lyme said the test was a false positive. I have been dealing with issues for a few years, and I have been under the assumption the are some mild autoimmune problem...migratory joint pain, fatigue, dry eyes. I have been tested for everything under the sun and show no inflammation in the blood. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Not sure where to go from here...

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I don't remember a bite. A few years back it started off with more cognitive problems with dizziness, vertigo, fatigue. Most of those have cleared and now when I get flares, it's more joint stiffness, fatigue and dry eyes.

I was working with a GP who was very helpful, but she is not a LLMD. I did a course of Doxy for 6 weeks and felt like it made somewhat of a difference, but I am having a flare again.

Welcome to our forum! I am sorry that you have a need to be here, but you have found a great place to come and learn!!

First of all, even Igenix says that you have a positive on the LD test!

As Springsjean has said, ID docs are not the way to go, usually - there are always exceptions, though. Generally ID doc follow a completely different theory than docs that follow the ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society) recommendations. ID docs don't even recognize that chronic LD even exists!!! This is interesting as it has been scientifically proven.

You can find a lot of the answers you are looking for in the thread at the top of the forum titled "New to Lyme?...Start here!", and by using the links that you will find there as well, you can really get a good understanding of the basics.
