Eyes

I have recently started taking Plaquinil for the past 7 days and this eye symptom has come back with avengence. I know this is not an allergic reaction because it is a symptom I have had many times before even prior to lyme diagnosis and treatment, however I have read that Plaquinil can cause vision loss in rare cases. I did discuss my eye issues in great depth with my doctor before starting on the Plaquinil but she did not feel that it should cause me any problems. I am going to see my GP this week and get a referral if I can to see an opthamologist. I have already seen an opthalmic specialist 3 months ago who couldn't see any problems apart from being slightly short sighted. Does anyone know what the difference is between an opthamologist and an opthalmic specialist?

> I am also curious about this problem because the last time it was really bad was when I was taking flagyl, which like plaquinil is a cyst busting drug, so I am wondering if it could be related in some way and perhaps it is just a herx reaction?
