Hansa Center

My Wife has Lyme Disease and we are trying to figure out what and where is the best treatment. I read many of the posts by GWB (AKA) Gary about the Hansa Center and wanted to get some feedback on peoples success in having them treat Lyme disease.

I am so sorry that you have a need to be here, but I'm sure glad you found us!! I'm sure you will find us to be a caring, helpful and understanding group!! You and your wife will have lots of support here!

If you haven't already, it would be beneficial for you to start with reading through the thread at the top of the forum titled,"New to Lyme?...Start here!!", as it is packed full of relevant information and informative links that have been put together by our members here! Most of those who have read through it have said it's a very helpful thread!! We also have a pretty good search function on this forum to help you narrow down your search for information from past posts. We must be our own health advocates now and the best thing to arm yourself with is knowledge!

We have had several members here who have gone through the Hansa Center for their healing. It's really hard to say that any one treatment center is 'the best' one, as each and every one of us that have this set of infections have to have a treatment as unique as their body is! Each one of us carries different weaknesses and strengths in our bodies - and a lot of our weaknesses we don't even know about until we contract something as serious and complicated as tick-borne infections.

With that being said, I'm sure that some of those who have used the Hansa Center will chime in shortly!!

Springsjean, thank you so much. I believe we will get the support we have been looking for here on this board. It has already been eye opening for us and we appreciate your kind words.

To answer you questions and tell everyone a little more about her story. She has had symptoms for the past 18 months or so. We are really not sure when she got the disease, but it has been likely a couple of years ago. she has started treatment with a LLMD here in Tennessee by the name of Michael Bernui. His practice is the Center for Restorative Medicine. his approach is very unique as is that of The Hansa Center. He has started her on some supplements, but she has not actually started treatment yet. She did briefly take something called Amorlyse, but it made her Herx pretty bad so she has discontinued that for now.

Diaba, Thank you for the info. We have not read Dr J's book yet, but plan to do so. And yes Hansa is very expensive, but then again if it will help her get her life back it is priceless.

who is doctor Bernui??a naturopath? LLMD? MD? chiro?

oh. I just ended up on a place with same name I think in Russia or Ukrane on Youtube.

I found the place in Tenesee but not much info on the website.

I haven't been to Hansa but the book has info in it that every doctor in the country should be reading.

Not just about lyme but fibro and ALS and chronic fatigue.

The really sickening part about all these places is no one takes insurance?

or what I should be saying is insurance won't pay them.

My new thing is turning on the recording on my iphone so I don't miss what is being said.
It is great and goes on forever.

I missed it? who diagnosed your wife and what blood work did you have done.

I think osteopaths are brilliant but in our situation they have got to be LYME SAVY.
This is a very tricky complicated string of infections. Detox is always key, BUT these parasites and bacterias are on like a mission and have an intelligence of their own. They communicate !!!



But the doctors so far that I have seen with the real lyme experience for 15 to 20 yrs are
still using abx or combining naturopath treatment to get you through the abx and to recoup your
strength and maintain a life.

The big problem is no one is trying to develop a antibiotic specific for these infections and doctors are forced to use what is on the shelf now.

A lot of good stories come out of Hansa. If i had $5000 would hitch down there today and sleep in the park.

i don't know how much more my body can handle of pharmacuticals at this point. The osteos are a little more user friendly.

This is not a short term gigg. It's has become what I can barely call a lifestyle at this point.
