You have asked about
a complex thing. Basically, yes, Lyme "cycles". It has a very long life cycle - lots of bacteria 'cycle' within something like 24 hours, Lyme takes weeks to complete a life cycle. Each time the Lyme Spirochete ends/begins a cycle, it must enter the blood stream.Generally speaking this is when most people have flares (not counting times when a person is experiencing a toxin over-load), because the bacteria are multiplying again.
When Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme Disease active agent) enters the blood stream, it is at it's most vunerable state - and the abx have the greatest potential to kill the most of those lovely spirochetes.
