Has anyone had optic neuritis due to Lyme? Any experience info, guidance would be appreciated.

I had vision loss, hazy vision, and extreme light sensitivity. This got better after treatment. Although fluorescent lights still make me feel kinda weird.

Thanks for your feedback. I had partial vision loss and terrible pain in my eye. I am having a flare up after 4 years of being pretty good. Back on Doxy but hoping to hear from others that had eye problems. This nasty bug loves to attack my nerves. 6 years ago I went numb from my chest to toes and I was on antibiotics for 2 years until I got pregnant. It still baffles me that a gross little bug can do such damage and that 4 years later that so many doctors are still ignorant to Lyme disease :(

I had blurred vision in my left eye. It comes and goes and is usually indicative of a build-up of neurotoxins. So, I get more even aggressive with the detox when that occurs and consider stepping back a notch on my treatments until it clears. For me, it's a balancing act between the kill-off of the critters and a detox of the body. If you can keep a continual kill-off att or just below your body's ability to detox, then you'll get results with less symptoms due to herx/detox reactions.

BTW - Mystery Lyme - I have NEVER liked flourescent lights. I think part of it is the 60 Hz strobing effect as the gas is excited to form the light. PLUS, there is mercury in tose lights and maybe that resonance of the Hg is cause for the weirdness. In my office at work, I leave those lights OFF and use a touchiere light for indirect "warm" light off the ceiling. My secretary used to call it my "funeral parlor" light - LOL!
