1 or 2 week flares?

I am having a HUGE flare today. I know that Jan 9/10/11 was a 4 week + full moon + other contributors flare and I felt terrible. Today I feel almost as bad (not quite). I looked over my symptom list, and last Wed/Thurs I felt worse than other days, but not as bad as today.

What causes flares every 1 or 2 weeks? It's been two weeks since I started my biofilm treatment, so I don't think it is a reaction to that.

Lyme seems to flare every 4 weeks. Since I am positive on both bands 23 and 39, my doc said I have both an American and European strain of the Bb. She told that because of that, I could expect flares roughly every two weeks. If you have a co-infection, they have their own patterns so it's all mixed up and different folks will have differing reactions. My own situation seems to not have a well defined pattern but I do notice loose conjunctions with the be and full moons.

One thing you can do to discover what may be causing your flares is to start a symptoms journal. It can help you see what may be having an impact on your symptoms.

As Yazzer said, co-infections have their own patterns, and as you said we are also influenced by things like the full moon and weather patterns.

Yeah- I have a symptom journal. I checked it when I noticed this flare. But I haven't really done anything new or different in the last 2 weeks.

Have your symptoms been doing pretty well? If so this could be an indicator that you are just know noticing the cycles of one of your infections. This would actually be good news, as it would mean that your symptoms aren't as severe as they once were...healing!!!
