I almost posted in that thread, but I saw that you had already mentioned Zhang's HH caps, which is Houttuyniae, so I figured you had the info you needed on it - sorry!
I got my herbs (whole leaf) from my Chinese Medicine Practitioner. I did a search for Houttuyniae on the internet and it's not easy to find the whole leaf herb, but if you can find it, that's what I would recommend using. It makes a nice medicinal tea, very similar to the taste of regular black tea that is usually used for iced tea here in the US. The powdered stuff - from what I've read from another member's post once - is kind of nasty as it's slimy.
Unfortunately I'm unsure of it's cost. I know that I was told how much the herb was at the beginning of my treatment, but I really can't remember. I take a lot of different herbs and tinctures from my doc and I just pay for them all at once.
Now the dosage I know when using the fresh - dried whole leaf herb!!
I used only 3 grams a day steeped in 3 cups of water. Drink 1 cup three times a day.
I didn't realize that Bartonella had the reputation of being so hard to treat! As I said, after about
6 months of using it religiously, I stopped using it about
2 weeks ago and I have had
very few Bartonella symptoms return!
I hope this helps!
