Oh No... Numbness inside my right ear.

Hi All,

I was feeling so very good.  I stopped taking ABX on 3/10/2012 per my new doctor's instructions and a couple of days ago, I felt a slight numbness in my right ear - almost like I have an earplug in my ear.  It went away and keeps coming back and going. 

Then, last night, I felt that awful anxiety attack/noise sensitivity feeling coming on.  Oh my gosh...you know...it starts in your tummy and then gets worse.

I fear that I'm relapsing from not being on the ABX.  I am still dealing with acid reflux too and am praying that this goes away once and for all.  The ABX - specifically Flaygl is what brought it on and I can't seem to get rid of it.  Does this ever get better?

I saw my new doctor yesterday and then when I left on my way home, my ear started up with the numbing sensation and then later that night the anxiety.  I guess I should call them but I just cannot tolerate anymore ABX.

I am wondering...if I were to take IV ABX, would they mess with my digestive system?

Thanks and any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Frustrated.  Just when I think I'm making such progress, something else happens... sad

I'm sorry this is happening - it's so frustrating when you finally see that progress and get knocked down again! Just try to stay focused on the fact that you did get so much better!

I'm not sure about the ear - could it be some sort of blockage?

I know what you mean with the anxiety attack, stomach getting involved, etc., and mine also started after a course of abx (just for a sinus infection - that's sort of how I put 2 and 2 together with the Lyme). I honestly think it's the toxins - I stopped having those attacks completely for a while (after having them a few times a day, every day for months!) and lately they're back with a vengeance, while I've definitely been doing more to circulate a lot of toxins again.

I'm not sure about IV abx - maybe try searching on the forum, or starting a new thread as that might give you better results.

Either way I hope you feel better soon and please try not to be discouraged by this!

Thank you. Yes, I will do a search to see a little more about IV ABX in-case I have to go back on them. I haven't had any numbness in my ear today, but I am having those creepy crawly feelings in my left foot today. I'm pretty sure that I'm having a relapse or something.

My doctor started me on a methylation protocol and I started a couple of nights ago. I don't think I would herx from something like that but I guess you never know. I'm going to wait the three weeks (when I see my doctor again), see how I feel and see what he says then.

Also, I will do some more research or start another post on the IV ABX with the digestive system hopefully tomorrow.

I'm keeping a good attitude. I've made incredible progress this last year and if I have to go on a little more treatment, then that is what I'll do...
