What was your treatment upon initial diagnosis?

My regular doc started me on Doxycycline which was definitely causing a herxheimer reaction. But I was allergic to it, so went over to Zithromax. Then I was referred to an LLMD who kept me on the Z while we waited for my labs to come back.

Because I came back positive for Ehrlichia, he put me on a different antibiotic and continued to switch them up to get me better.

Popica, what is it you mean by "did it work?" If a treatment for Lyme is working, it might make you feel a little better for a couple of weeks and then it can make you feel pretty awful as the toxins build up from the bacterial die off. Me, I felt like a truck hit me!
