Dear all,
Thanks for you support through the years.
I have been on ABX for now one and half year for Lyme, Babesia and Bartonella. The ABX seemed to work at a certain point but I feel like now I dont respond to them anymore. My LLMD keep changing and rotating them but I have not seen any major improvement in the last 6 months or so, I will be finishing my last set of ABX (Mepron, azithromycin, Bactrim) in a few weeks and I would love to stop and discuss other treatment alternative. I am tired of feeding my body with these products which are probably making thing worst than better at this point.

I have been reading the forum to find other alternative people are using, so far 3 names stroke my attention.
Cowden vs. Zhang vs. Jernigan. I know there are a bunch of thread about each of this protocol but after reading them
I am still not sure what to go with, I am willing to try anything that would make me better. I know people react differently to different treatment but I would really love to know what has worked and not worked for people in this forum.
My questions are the following, please feel free to respond only the one you like.
-What treatment did you try and for how long, did it work, how much was the monthly cost?
-Did anyone went to Kansas to the Hansa clinic (Dr Jernigan) for treatment and how did it go? did the home treatment work? how much is it?
-For the Cowden protocol, did u buy every thing from the nutramedix website?
-Did someone tried Acupuncture associated with any of this protocol? I think that my help with the pain.
My main symptoms are joints pain, sore body, full body pain, traveling body pain, headache, twitching eyes, burning feet, and other pain that I dont even know how to describe.

Forgive me for my long email, this just one of many conditions I am dealing with right now but I dont want to give up.
By the way, I live in the Washington DC, Maryland, VA area, so if you know of any good naturopathic doctor or Acupuncturist who deal with lyme please let me know.

I am trying the Jernigan protocol, I'm only a week in. In the first week he suggests you just take the detox herbs, he has a few formulas and I'm taking the neuro detox NeuroAntitox. It is helping me a lot, since taking it my brain has been so much clearer. In a few days I'll start the Borrelogen.

Being that I'm really new on this, I don't have much to add, but will let you know.

Are you doing the home protocol or did you go to the Hansa Center?
If you are doing the home protocol did u buy the Perfect-7 Protocol - Good, better or best? I am still not sure the number of the day the Perfect-7 Protocol supply last, any idea?

Someone you some other protocol?

We're you treated for parasites?

A deeper look. I think is the name of the blog

This site has a lot of more up to date info, tests and
Treatments.

Who was your ldoctor prescribing all those abx.
It seems like someone who is knowledgable.

Usually, real Lyme doc now treat integrative with supplements,
Herbs and probiotics.

I keep seeing more and more that parasites
Should be treated first.
How you test for them I don't exactly know
Other than the metagenix lab but it was expensive.
But it will also tell you how much gut damage you
Have like candida and all kinds of other readings.

I tried a stool test that was covered by insurance before
And it came back negative.

But the metagenix found 3 parasites on my test.

Is your Lyme doc telling you that you are done with treatment?

I have not done all the ABX in the book but I have done a fair amount for 18 months. At this point I dont believe that the ABX are still working for me and I am looking for alternative.

Hi Lyanna!

We are here at Hansa right now as I am typing this!! Love, love, love it here, and love the docs! However, it has not been a "quick fix" but more an ongoing healing process. It is actually my daughter that has Lyme, she was diagnosed last year, prob has had it most of her life, and was on abx for 11 months. Doxi about killed her, and she never could get up to a therapeutic level of anything else. We came to Hansa in January for the first time and have been here 4 times now. It does not always take coming here this much, but we don't live too far, and are doing the Life Vessel treatments. You can read Caity's blog (see my signature) for more info on our Hansa journey.

One size does not fit all, though I know many people who have been cured of Lyme and other chronic illnesses here. I also know other things work for other people. One of our friends was cured by using Cowden's protocol, along with an OSB device (an oral device to increase oxygenation and maybe it does other things too, not sure).

I haven't specifically done any of the protocols you mentioned, although I'm pretty sure I've borrowed parts from all of them at one time or another, but I just wanted to remind you that you can use the search function to look up past threads about each protocol - I'm sure they've all been discussed before so you might be able to find a bit more information!
