What can I expect during my first LLMD office visit?  How often will I have to see him? confused

I'm sure everyone does things a bit differently, but for me, my LLMD likes to see me monthly - during my first visit I brought a bunch of my old labs and a little printout summary of my history, which is always helpful if you've got a long medical history, or if you have trouble remembering things (I used to get to doctor's appointments, and they'd ask me about my symptoms and I'd just draw a total blank! - now I always bring a checklist with me). Usually the first visit is pretty thorough - you'll probably have some testing done or be sent to lab for it (so be well-hydrated, bring a snack, etc.).

My first appointment and most of them are mainly just talking. I had Igenex testing done at my first appointment. My LLMD asked me a lot of questions about my symptoms and sometimes he checks my heart, blood pressure and temperature. I used to go once a month when things were pretty stable, but recently I started having some more serious issues and liver problems so I have to go in a lot more often now to check in and have tests done.

Overall, I am someone who is VERY nervous going to doctors, but my LLMD (and the ND I see for other things only) are both extremely easy-going and they make me feel completely comfortable.

I also bring charts of my symptoms and a list of questions if I have them. I go to my appointments alone, so I like to make sure that I am very organized so I won't forget anything. At the first appointment I brought a list of the order in which things happened (tick bites, symptoms appearing, symptoms worsening etc.). At each additional appointment, I also bring charts to organize what has improved, worsened, stayed the same or appeared. That way I don't have to stress out about forgetting to mention something that might be important and if I have something weird that I don't really want to bring up, I just add it to the list. I also brought all of my relevant medical records.
