Hello I am new to this board and new to lyme.  Started feeling symptoms in February, 2012 and tested positive with IGENEX.

I am looking for an llmd who treats with meds and naturals and who is patient and accessible.

Anyone has any experience (good or bad) with Dr. S of DC (nurse practictioner)?  Could you tell me your experience with her.

Since I am not on the mainland and will be traveling from the Caribbean, I would prefer someone in the south or southeast.  Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I am a very anxious and sensitive person with allergies to doxy, keflex and penicillin.  So I really need someone who knows what they are doing and is patient and kind.

I really need to start treatment as I dallied around too long here with doctors that are clueless when it comes to lyme.

I noticed no one has responded. I am new to this board - did I ask something I wasn't supposed to? Or does no one here have any experience with G.S. of Washington DC? I would really appreciate your input. Thank you.

Hi ebc,

No, you didn't ask something you weren't supposed to!!

That wasn't much of a welcome to the forum, was it!? I guess you just asked too particular a question. If a member did have some info about your practitioner, you would need to enable the email option in your profile so they could contact you off forum (we don't discuss doctors and other care-givers on the forum).

Is there anything else we can help you with? Are you currently getting treatment?

Hi EBC - I don't know the person you are referring to, but there are a number of docs in the southeast that you could see. You may want to ask about how to obtain a referral to a doc who is lyme literate since no one seems to know anything about the one you are talking about.
