First, I posted this on another forum, so my apologies to anyone who might have read it there as well.
Second, about 2.5 years ago a ND in Oregon ran some tests on me and sent my blood to a couple different labs for workup.
I've read many links about WB test results and I'm wondering if my logic is on track. Also, maybe some of you can help me find answers to a few questions.
The lab in Oregon said I tested positive for Eppstein-Barr (not the Western Blot).
A different lab in Utah ran the Western Blot and said the only band I tested positive for was IGM band 41.
From what I've read, I believe this means that I have spirochete FLAGELLA, but that band 41 does not specify WHICH little spirochete tails my immune system had responded to
What other diseases besides Lyme, Syphillis, etc. are caused by spirochetes that might give you similar symptoms?
Are there any "benign" spirochetes out there?
From my symptoms, it's pretty possible that I have Lyme. But, I want to either get all the other possible causes of the symptoms eliminated first, or else test positive for Lyme before jumping on the Lyme bandwagon.
I've taken so many wrong turns in the past hunt for health which have proven very costly - time, money, energy. I just can't justify dragging my family through that again until I'm more certain I'm headed the right direction.
Thanks,
J
