What ways of detoxing are best for your body while on antibiotics?

My LLMD diagnosed me with lyme disease about two weeks ago. he suspects Ive had it for a couple years due to my symptoms (Im 17 btw). My blood results were negative but he believes i have it. So he's giving oral antibiotics to start on and then in a month he'll decide where to go from there. I started Doxycycline 100mg 2x a day about two weeks ago. I'm supposed to start another antibiotic in a few days. I really want to know what I should be doing to best eliminate the toxins from my body? I'm on a probiotic, I take Vitamin C, Calcium-Magnesium, Omega 3's and digestive enzymes. What are some other things I should be doing? What should I be eating? I just want to make sure I effectively get rid of the Lyme Bacteria. I'm new to all of this. Any advice would be great! Thanks! :)

I'm surprised your LLMD put you on such a low dose of doxy. Usually, the minimum is 300mg./daily with most prescribing 400-600mgs. I didn't herx from doxy when I was put on 200mg. but did when I increased it.

Which lab did you test with? IGenex seems to be the most accurate for Lyme as far as Western blots go. I've yet to test with them but am looking for a doc now that will draw blood for it. Good luck with your journey!

Drink lemon water, do some dry skin brushing, the detox baths, green Smoothies...read the post at the top of the board "new to Lyme" it will give you lots of great ideas. If you have access to an infrared sauna that can help too. Sorry you have to deal with this..if youhave any other questions just ask. Everyone here is always so helpful.
