I am very sorry. Hugs to you. Is there anyway you could go on short term disablity?
Lyme and it's symptoms can be so disabling. I give you a lot of credit for working and raising a toddler full-time all while battling this! You are strong. You are going to get better.
I got very ill May 2012. I worked from home for a month, then had surgery to remove my gallbladder and was never well enough to return to work. I continued to get sicker as the months went on and was finally diagnosed with Lyme December 2012. I started treatment Jan. 5. I've had some rough days. I feel like I am getting a little better, it's just such a SLOW process. My company had layoffs the end of January, and since I was disabled for all of these months I was let go. I worked there 9 years. It was a relief so that I can focus on my healing 100%. Although I did go through a horrible grieving period last Fall. I have worked hard all my adult life. I am very thankful to have a wonderful, supportive husband. Otherwise, I would have had to move in with my parents, I have been bedridden many times. We also have a son who is 18 months old. He truely keeps me fighting.
I also know what it is like to have people in your life in denial that you are sick. I went through this with my family and in-laws. Until they all started to learn more about Lyme it has gotten some better. I think most of them feel helpless.
For now just try taking it hour by hour, one day at a time. Surround yourself with positive everything. I also believe in the power of prayer. My son and I pray together every night.
We will say an extra one for you We are all going to come out of this stronger than we could have ever imagined - a healthy life is waiting for us.
