I've had a lot of issues with getting to sleep, staying asleep, and getting restorative sleep for many years now also. Lyme is known to cause issues not only those issues with sleep, but adrenal and thyroid function as well -which can also affect our sleep.
It's usually best to rule out the adrenal and thyroid issues before assuming it's the Lyme infection though. The thyroid and adrenal functions can be supported with medications and can have a quick turn around once the proper levels of support are found. If it's the Lyme disease, it may take a lot of treatment before that symptom is resolved.
With that being said, it also never hurts to be sure that you have good "sleep hygiene". Here is a good article about
good sleep hygiene, although I don't agree with the "no naps" thing, but they are talking to "healthy adults" in this article. The rest of the article applies though!!
Hope this helps a bit!
