Bactrim, nightmares? Babesia?

I started Bactrim yesterday evening. Last night, I had vivid dreams and nightmares and woke up a couple of times, something I almost never have.
Could this be a herx? I wouldn't think that it would be a side-effect of the medication.

Also, I read that Bactrim is mildly effective for Babesia. Is that true?

Yes, bactrim is effective in preventing babesia from growing and can even kill it in some cases. Yes, this could be a herx I believe. A few days after I started one medication I went full blown mentally nuts for 24 hours and then it subsided. I'd call your doc just to make sure but I know when you are killing parasites especially; it can cause drastic mental changes.

Ok, thanks! I told my husband to keep an eye on me in case I go completely ape sh** crazy, LOL!
