I haven't yet. I'll ask my doctor about
it the next time I go in. I do have collagen issues but only since the disease hit. And they aren't terrible. Just a lot of ingrown hairs.
I'm pretty sure the doc knows that I have bartonella, he is very cautious in how he proceeds with medicine. Keeping in mind that at the time lyme was probably my dominant infection...severe brain fog, insomnia that went away on just 100 mgs of doxy 2x a day. So because the doxy was so effective I'm assuming he wanted to at least get that under control with ceftin before starting the coinfections.
I am hoping he will switch methods a little bit next appointment and focus on the bart/possible babs coinfections. Of course I'm concerned about my liver. I'm not too sure about the MTRFR gene though. When I've herxed to something like Houttuynia, it stops the next day. I thought if you couldn't detox you would be achy all the time and your herxes would never stop.
