I have more and more problems stretching my right hand all the way, I really need to do a great effort, and even then it doesn't stretch out like my left hand, and when I do, it's quite painful (in my hand itself and in my lower arm).

I think this might be caused by inflammation (my doc says I have arthritis caused by the TBD, my inflammation titers were very high - he tested again a few weeks ago, and I'm really curious about the results)?

what can I do about it, stretch my hands a lot, or not? can this be permanent?

Frohe Ostern !!!!!!

Just to reasure you,my hands were so swollen and misshapen that I was unable to hold a fork to eat!

I couldn't open bottles and sometimes it was impossible to put my clothes on.

Slowly my fingers are returning to their former shape and size, the strength is also coming back.

Soooo,yes Lyme arthritis is reversable,how long will it take? Goodness knows,in my case about 9 months and I'm still improving.

Don't despair,unlike "normal " arthritis your hands will and can recover!Gentle stretching exercises have helped me alot,when you do a foot detox put your hands in the water,too.

Thank you for your reassuring answer. I knew a young woman with severe 'normal' arthritis, and it was terrible how her hands became unusable.

All strength in my hands is gone (as all over my body), they are sooo swollen (my fingers are worst, I didn't have the most elegant hands to start with, but it's really bad now) and sometimes red too.

Thanks for the advise, I'll take foot and hand baths now :-)

Have a good holiday break too - I have 1 week off!
