I got a screen done by Quest thinking I would just get a negative across the board and feel better but I didnt. I know Igenex is the best place to test but I now have these results and want to know what they mean.
IgM was all NEGATIVE
IgG was "REACTIVE" for bands 39 and 41 only
Does anyone have any idea if that is a probable lyme infection? I hear a lot about false negatives but not a lot about false positives so I am thinking it is. Anyone feel certain about how likely a false positive from the Quest results are?
As far as symptoms go, I dont really know what to attribute to lyme. There are a number of things I experience that could be neurologic effects but cant recall a rash, bullseye, or a specific time of flu like symptoms that were unique. I did have a sort of parasite experience a few different times, one for 10+ days, consecutive episodes for fewer days. Wonder if that could be a time of exposure or a hint of a different infection causing lyme to test positive.
Part of me is not worried about it because whether I have lyme or not it doesn't seem to be interrupting my life greatly at this time. However, I am also concerned about the possible progression of the slowing of my mental capacities and how that could mess change my life with time.
I am a HUGE naturalist. Planning to do GSE treatment for a week and then GAPS diet to detox and reset the gut. Please give me any feedback out there on my tests, symptoms, and treatment possibilities.
Thanks
