Does anyone get and stay better after antibiotics if they've had this stuff many years?

This really is not a rhetorical question. I live in Michigan and don't know anyone personally who is being treated for lyme and co-infections. We're trying to make decision about whether to try antibiotics for babesia and I'm scared. It seems on this site and others I so often hear folks who have gone that route and didn't get or stay better. (And some who have become sicker). My daughter was probably born (she's 14 now) with babesia and maybe lyme so it feels like an uphill battle. Does anyone know anyone who had lyme and co-infections for many years and who got and stayed better after antibiotics? I so badly want to hear some success stories. Or maybe someone knows of some statistics on "cure" rates with antibiotics?

There was a thread on this sight where people listed the people then knew that got better...I am sure there were some who took abx. on it. you might search for it.."recovery stories" I think.

The one person I know who did abx and got and stayed well, did so after stopping them and doing a natural approach. Her story is well documented..and on the web. Just google Perry Fields.

She now helps people with lyme through coaching. She is a professional athlete..was really really sick...7 years..now back to being an athlete.



I have done the natural route and thus,just by affiliation, know more people who have done that than whose who have done abx.

And....you always have options: e.g. you can do a natural protocol. There are many and people have success with them. Or, you can try abx. If that does not work, can always switch. I mean...there are options, is what I am trying to say. You are not stuck with one approach.

It is an emerging field...treating chronic lyme. I think the biggest question to ask is if the doctor is treating the WHOLE person. The bugs, detox, immune system, lifestyle, diet, emotions etc. Whether abx or natural.
