If there is one thing you guys can do, consider contacting schools, town halls and other public forums and presenting to get the word out. Its scary and I went through my personal symptom list but trust me the message came across loud and clear.
I will probably write an abbreviated version in a letter and send it out to old teachers/ former coworkers as well. This is the fastest way I think to get word out and opinions changed. People that know you need to hear it from you. Yes, your family may think you are looney and your friends but there are old coworkers and friends that will remember you as being credible and reliable. They will listen, and pass the word on.
