Tgf beta 1 levels are high, anybody else had theirs tested?

Yes, my TGF-Beta1 is high. Mold has been ruled out for me. I don't have issues at all with that, so whatever my problems are relate to Lyme & co-infections. Last test, the number went even higher, even on CSM... not sure that's completely unexpected though as doing herbs or following a protocol that mobilizes the bacteria would likely cause more of an increase.

I had great results on CSM, digestively speaking, and my VCS test results fluctuated better/worse.

I am on a new protocol now and have not tested. I will wait a while longer before redoing the blood work and VCS test... make sure we are on the right track now.

Those of you who are quoting ranges...What lab did you bloodwork? Mine was through labcorp. Range is 622-4625. Mine was 3981. In their range!

This really surprised me because I was sure because of a lot of water basement issues, I thought for sure I was in the mold house from hell. It was a blood and 24hour urine test.

My llmd said no mold! Possibly because of my cd57nk cell number showing 132, showing increasing strength of my immune system. PERHAPS I surpressed those evil mold spores like a normal person. Wow, that would be nice! But then again the cd57nk test, how accurate is that?

My MSH was 19. LabCorp range is 0-40.

My VEGF was less than 31, that was LOW but also from 18 months ago.

Low VEGF can be from biotoxin illness, indication reduced oxygenation, or can be high, indicating that your body is trying to compensate for low oxygen levels and possible malignant cancers tumors.

Shoemakers reference ranges are different than LabCorp

TGFB1. Less than 2380
MSH 35-81

So my numbers don't match up with shoemakers but the are in LabCorp range.

Hello fellow Lymies. I was curious if anyone has high TGF B1 levels? I just found out that I do which may be contributing to my pain issues. I also read that it can be due to Mold Sickness. Does anybody have elevated levels and can they be addressed in some way? My LLMD us starting me on Cholestyramine to try and draw some of the toxins out of my system as well. Any comments on TGF B1 or Cholestyramine would be great to read.

I use labcorp too. They changed the range. A few months ago you would have been high but not by much

Wow mine was done Jan 1st. What's the new range?

Just realized the original post was from 2013, which could explain range difference

I just had it done and mine was over 29,000. Not sure if lyme or mold is the main issue
