First of all I had a high dose of antibiotics and lots more pills from Jan for 3 mnths and then I had another 28 days of another antibiotic for something else and then nothing at all so I could have my retest.

My MELISA needs to be done again as my bloods didn't react correctly. Anyway I had the IgM part of the Igenex Western Blot done which is still positive with only one number changing to IND and number 66 appearing as a +

**34 +

**41 +

66 +

Igenex Positive

CDC/NYS Positive

Yes treatment was up and down and felt quite ill at times but some blood counts improved, blood pressure came down, extra weight fell off and by the 4th month I began to have moments of feeling great. Then when I came off treatment I noticed some symptoms making an appearance again, etc.

I take it that from my IgM retest that I am still positive and therefore need some more abx?

My daughter's MELISA came back as Equivocal and her Igenex came back as follows:

I have booked my daughter's consultation to discuss results next week but I am right in thinking that she has Lyme or could she have something else? We got her tested as we were suspious of her symptoms and some were same as some of mine.

LLMD's generally consider 18, 23, 30, 31, 34, 37, 39, 83 and 93 specific for Lyme. 31 takes 1-2 years to even show up and indicates chronic Lyme. 83 and 93 are the DNA of the spirochete. That means if they are showing banding in the slightest (ie IND) borrellia is pesent.

Symptoms you are seeing that seem different could be due to co-infections (bartonella, babesia, ehrlichia, mycoplasma), or they could be lyme presenting in a different manner.

If you, yourself, have been through abx treatment and decreased your bacterial load, it might be worth looking into herbal or other alternative protocols. Both moderators on this forum have had success with alternative treatments.

If your daughter is sick, I might suggest you head over to a forum for parents of children with lyme/coinfections and the autoimmune brain reaction that can be caused by these or other infections (ie strep) - PANDAS.

Hang in there, it's a bumpy road. The main thing I can suggest is to chart symptoms daily. I have been using a stacked bar chart (Excel) with symptoms on the y-axis, days on the x-axis with notations of all protocol changes or illnesses, for 3 years now. Herx reactions become obvious and there is no questioning about whether you have experienced a herx or a relapse.
