What do you guys do for major anxiety? Has anyone tried picamilon, regular gaba tablets or lithium orotate?? I want to stay away from sedatives. Thanks.

I've used GABA in the past with success, I prefer the liquid tincture over the tablets. It just seemed to work better. Lately I've used the Young and Living Peace and calm oil and it really does help my mind stop spinning so I can get some sleep.

I hope these suggestions help you, I've been there too many times

If you are dealing with anxiety, please be sure that you have had or get a 24 hour saliva test for your adrenal glands. Many docs don't understand that low functioning adrenals create real issues. Anxiety is one of them. Many with chronic Lyme had adrenal and/or thyroid issues that can cause a number of issues.

Thk u for the advice. I have been tested in the past and it showed low cortisol in the morning and high cortisol at night. My thyroid was also low but its normal now. I treated with natural thyroid and also supported my adrenals with supplements like rhodiola. Im not taking anything now for it.

Well, then I've read that lithium orotate is a good one, although I've never used it nor have I known of any one who has used it.

ACK, so I leave the forum and I'm taking a shower when I realize my little confused Lyme brain said that I like the tincture of GABA. I don't think GABA comes in a tincture. I do like GABA but I was actually thinking of Kava Kava which is very good for anxieties and is much better in tincture form, at least for me.

I hate when I switch up my words like that

Lolll lovehealth it's okay. I do the same thing! When u said tincture i was like REALLY??? That would enable it to get in the blood stream fasttt! Then i realized myself it doesnt exist loll. It's a good idea though.

Traveler- yes ive heard good things about it but without any anecdotal experiences i feel a bit wary of it. Need to do more research.

Thanks for that link, Tootsieroll! Personally, I think that Public Health alert has a lot of good information!! And Brain Rosner has written some wonderful, informative articles about Lyme and things related to it.

With all things Lyme though- always, always look things up, don't just take someone else's word for it. This is our body, and our health and we are the only ones that can be responsible for our healing.
