Be aware also that "psoriatic arthritis" may be another manifestation of chronic stealth infections like Lyme...

Also, my Dad had psoriasis for years, and it was finally cured with antifungal treatments (systemic, not topical).

Anyway, you'll be missed as a mod. here... I wish you the best of luck as you pursue other avenues.

LOL! Don!! I have always loved your sense of humor!!! And the amount of time and passion that you have given to this forum! Thank you so very much for that! I would have been in a real bind had you not accepted and become a Mod as well. I really enjoyed Modding with you, minds that operate in similar ways usually find peace in each other. I'm sooooo happy to hear that Heather is off to college!!! That alone says so much about how she has healed!! Congratulations to all of you!! What a huge accomplishment! And what a challenge for you as the parent! LOL! My kids weren't ill just before they went off to college, and I still worried over them somethin' fearless!!! Hang in there and trust that she knows what she must do....with a few well placed reminders of course! Giggle!

Don, be sure to have a box of kleenex. :) Our youngun is heading into her Junior year, hard to believe. Her diet has not been the same since she left home, but lately it seems she's coming back to some of it. She told me the other day that organic is too expensive, so I told her hospitals cost a lot more! I hope Heather will resist most of the junk food. She should after all she went through.

You can maintain such calm in the face of ignorant vitriol! Anyone who has asked for information on this site has probably benefited from your superb research skills. Your trove of resources is immense. I personally have had your guidance many, many times to very specific studies detailing the information I needed. You have sent me info from multiple view points. I have not seen a hint of a closed mind.

Even when people have had differing outlooks you have been calm, fair, and wise. We all know the claims (make that repeated claims) Shoobie has leveled at you are unfounded. And yes, there is a big difference between healed and cured. Since you corrected your own phrasing it is quite petty for anyone to snipe more on the same subject.

Since Lyme attacks so many systems, in miriad combinations it is reasonable to believe each patient can need different treatments. Since Lyme gains cellular entry through inflamation it seems logical that treating inflamation can help treat Lyme infection. Supportive?

 There are many ways people kill Bb, depending on it's form the best way can vary. What sources say only herbs from one region will work? The bug is international. Just maybe the plants in my pharmacopia are as good as some one elses? Perhaps there's a barrier preventing usable chemical compounds in my local herbs. I think it follows the same perimeter the ticks do, because you know there's no Lyme in My county...

Ah, enough breath spent on that part of this message - Shoobie get a clue and post a new nasty thread  separate from this like Opugirl suggests. This thread is for people to tell Trav just how much we will miss her outstanding help and guidance. And her wit, and smart alecky comments, and giving spirit. Traveler, I am channeling your even handedness right now because I have an acid tongue at times. I sure hope we stay in touch. I'll be fighting with my computer but I have a sledge hammer...

You have helped me make it this far and 'Tom' and I are enjoying his improvements. I won't let down my guard because Lyme can hide for so long. But, I am armed with knowledge thanks to your generous gifts of time and research. Bless your cotton socks. Look out Psoriasis, Traveler is going to kick your butt!

Yep!! Me and my goats, LOL!!! Most everyone on here knows about me and my goats! LOL! Makes me think I may share a bit too much on the forum and in my emails!! giggle!!! Unfortunately, I have to give them up for a bit, until I can get my health back under control (they're a lot of work!), but I hope to have them back after just a short time.

I'm so very sorry that you believe you may have Psoriasis as well! I can tell you that I have just spent the last 3 weeks delving into all the research with Psoriasis, and although there isn't very much, natural treatments offer the most hope for a good life in living with it - especially for those who have had Lyme, as Western Medicine really only has steroids to offer in one form or another and we must always be very careful to avoid steroids since they lower the immune system and can allow the Lyme to come back out to play.

Oh, also - as Razzle pointed out to me - Lyme can bring on Psoriasis, or present as psoriasis! Lovely, just lovely. Once again, it pays to have a knowledgeable LLMD and a good forum!!!

Traveler, I have a friend online that has psoriasis and she got information from a guy online (NO COST). But he does want you to contact him after 90 days to see how you do on this treatment and you must promise that you will not copy or reproduce this program in anyway and you must not promote any portion of this program for financial gain.

As for Lyme being "curable," it seems difficult, because that would mean there are no spirochetes left anywhere in the body. I don't think Traveler would be so closed-minded to deny a cure if it actually came about. Quite the opposite! She was simply giving advice that remaining healthy seems to be the best option at this point. Thanks.

And.. for what it is worth, I have always understood psoriasis to be a detox issue and totally treatable! Colonics are often said to be the cure/help and also diet change. Get at the root of the toxicity and why the body is not detoxing and rectify that.

not to add more to your list, or minimize your symptoms, but do check into colonics and detox related to it, please! if already doing them, perhaps look closely and what may not be detoxing properly in your body.

I heard the colonics/psoriasis cure first many years ago and an 8 week intensive in holistic health in Australia, and have seen it again in reading here and there. Have seen before and after pics.

You all mean so very much to me! You have been my family for as long as you've been here and although I won't be going far, I won't be as involved and I will miss that.
