Brain zaps that happen based on sound?

This symptom is one of the strangest I've had. I know from other posts that these weird brain feelings can be associated with lymes, but was wondering how they happen for others.

Mine seem to happen a lot based on sound. Not all sounds, just ones like the house settling at night. The walls or floors creek and it feels like my head and ears get startled, but not the rest of my body. So strange!

Sudden high pitch noise causes awful brain zaps for me especially when I'm not prepared. Weirdest feeling...
