Never heard of this, but it is the diagnosis I was given at a visit with my neurologist today. Since I had every single textbook symptom, she spared me the spinal tap. Kind, kind woman.
So the good news is: I'm not going crazy. There really IS something ever-so-wrong with my brain and body. The bad news is: she cautioned me that progress/recovery will continue to be slow. She is extending my abx protocol but said not to expect to be able to return to work for a good 2-3 weeks, and to first try part time when I do.
My husband started crying when I told him. Here I thought he was not fully believing how serious this was, but he was actually worried sick and keeping it to himself.
I'm going to continue with my homeo/naturopathic remedies as well, try doing saunas next week (since I finally found my entry card for the fitness center), continue with the crazy-healthy diet I've been doing, and stay positive.
Thank God for a good day. Even before the appointment, today is the best I have felt almost two months.
