But, what would be a larger threat to the health of the person is severe herxing. Slow and steady is how I healed, and it worked well - as it has for many others. Once it's a long standing infection, there's no rush in treating hard or fast, as it becomes survival of the person and the preservation of organs. The bacteria is there, but not to stay, as the herbs will get to all of those places given the time to do so. It's not tip toeing around with treatments, it's not pushing the body to deal with more than it's equipped to deal with. Severe herxing can lead to a life threatening situation.
just to play santa advocate and echo dr m...bart loves the liver ..lets say its occupancy there inhibits the liver from doing its miraculous thing of filtering blood and adding protiens etc ...he pushes through elevated liver enzymes so that it can be cleared of the bugs so it can perform what it needs to do ...detoxify!...and his treatment works ...i respect and honor everybodies choice to treat as they see fit .we know our bodies ..but then we dont ..i have spent so much time ignoring and not freaking out at this symptom or that only when it impedes daily life does it become apparent and un able to ignor . ...fishing and passing out and fainting and sweating are aweful but mitreal valve prolapse and super ventrical tachycardia are life threating situations created by a untreated super infection...
to quote tara willtherebecake "would you treat tuberculosis with herbs "? And if so would it include houttynia?
