This is a really gross topic...so in advance...I apologize! Has anyone had problems with staph in nose? I mentioned to my LLMD that I have constant drainage from my nose in my throat...uugh!! This has been going on for months! He mentioned Staph in my nose and if I have ever been tested? He said Staph in nose and Lyme are related? Has anyone heard of this?

Yes! So that's what its called. Boy that stuff tastes nasty! I even feel that it gives me bad breath so I am always checking myself.

For me it just started a few weeks ago along with a whole bunch of new symptoms. Did your LLMD say why it happens?

No, he didnt elaborate, I only see him every 4-6 months so I bombard him with questions lol!! This has been going on with me for awhile too!! I'm always snorting....its so embarrassing!! I gross out my girls and husband. I'm going to make appt with ENT. Ill let u know what I find out wink

Hi lymerunner...my son is being treated for a sinus infection right now. They were able to detect it with an MRI. I suspect he may have chronic lyme. We live on a farm with an animal that almost died from anaplasmosis and I believe became a carrier. Anyway my son is being treated with Omnicef and it has helped him a lot. Are you taking abx ?

Yes. Just recently started a round of 4 antibiotics. Could be sinus infection? So hard to tell if we r sick or its the lyme?! So frustrating!! I wonder if i have omnicef in my arsenal of meds lol! Ill have to check!
