I have a bag of coconut rolled dates and I've been eating one every couple nights to satisfy the sweet-craving. But oh my- I looked at the packaging and it said 28 grams of sugar in just one! Should I stop eating them? I love how dense they are- and with a cup of rice milk...so delicious.
I haven't totally cut out fruit- but I do try sticking to the high fiber, less sugary options like berries.
Larabar makes a raw bar with only dates, almonds, and unsweetened cherries as the ingredients, and I wanted to order some but now I think the dates might be too much sugar.
Is that bad if I'm not ingesting any other sugar? (no evaporated cane juice, no honey, no maple syrup, no agave, etc.).
